purely luck?

Hey!
I know its been a few days since my last post, so here I'm!
This post is about how a few people have seemed to turn their backs to one side of the coin and completely ignore it. Yeah, another post criticizing people. Seems like a fun thing? No. I don't like to point out the mistakes others make but sometimes you have to call a spade a spade.
Its been three weeks since my result. A result which I had no hopes of going my way. A result which was totally unexpected. A result which I will cherish forever. With the result going my way, I was introduced to a new element which I honestly didn't believe much in, LUCK! Yes, I'd agree with the fact that I was lucky to clear it this time around. I didn't have any expectations of clearing it in this attempt and had started preparing for the June attempt in January itself. And to be honest, luck was something I didn't believe much in prior to the results. I have always been a strong believer of 'work hard and the result will be yours' ideology. I, in fact still believe in it albeit a part of me has started believing in luck as well.

But to call this result a totally lucky one would be an overstatement and also an injustice to the countless hours of hard work I had put in this journey. I'm pretty sure sitting on your desk for 15 hours every single day for nearly one and a half years without much social interaction void of any 'real entertainment' is a difficult thing to do when you're a late teen but I did the hard part. Skipping an attempt in June 24 did add to the pressure but I didn't focus on that. My focus was solely on gaining knowledge and giving it my best. I'd agree that luck did play a role in my result but it wasn't the only element present.

Being a teenager in his late teens, it takes a lot to not conform to society's definition of success and to just keep your head down and put in the hard yards. And it hurts even more when people start crediting your success to purely luck and not the efforts. I hope people take note of whoever is working hard and whenever they succeed, they genuinely credit the hard work as well rather than calling it by chance.
