self-doubt round 1

Hey! It's been a few days since I uploaded anything on my blog and hence, I feel I should. First and foremost, I have absolutely no idea what this blog is going to be about. I'll be adding some random things that I feel like sharing. Basically, I'll be sharing miscellaneous things for which I cannot do another blog post. So, here we go!

day 38

Good Morning Folks! πŸŒ„ After an eventful day yesterday, it is time to get back on track and complete a few targets. Date: 25th October 2024 Targets:  🎯 CMSL : SEBI ICDR Regulations (6 Lectures) JIGL : Sources of Law (2 Lectures) ECIPL : Foreign Trade Policy (2 Lectures) Today's song is Main Pal Do Pal ka Shair Hoon by the great Mukesh ji. This song, about a poet and his questions, from 1976 has travelled all the way to 20s thanks to the immortality and the greatness of this song and also M.S. Dhoni. I'm always reminded by this song that there will be some day when M.S. will play his last game of cricket (or maybe he has). The fact that this song questions mortality and has become for M.S.'s unavoidable retirement, which is again a sign of the same, is astonishing.  ❤️ πŸ’›   Wishing everyone a productive day. Bye!  πŸ‘‹

Good Morning People! πŸŒ„ Interesting day today as I have a meeting to attend amid all the hustle and bustle of academics. Date: 24th October 2024 Targets:  🎯 JIGL : Civil Procedure Code (Full) SBILL : Limited Liability Partnerships (Full) and Setting up of Business Outside India (Full) IDT : Basics of GST (Full) Today's song is Kun Faya Kun from the film 'Rockstar' by Mohit Chauhan, Javed Ali and A.R. Rahman.  This is among those few songs which makes one rethink life decisions and helps people at their lowest. A wonderful composition that has helped me and millions to make better decisions, get out of troubles and find solace and peace when at the lowest.  ❤️‍🩹 ❤️   Wishing everyone a successful day. Bye!  πŸ‘‹

Good Morning Folks! πŸŒ„ Things getting tough but I have been finding ways to get things going. Date: 23rd October 2024 Targets:  🎯 JIGL : Civil Procedure Code (Full) and Sale of Goods Act - 1 (Revision) ECIPL : Overseas Direct Investment (3 Lectures) CMSL : Basics of Capital Market (Revision) and SEBI ICDR Regulations (3 Lectures) SBILL : MSMED (Full) Today's song is Lehra Do from the film '83' by Arijit Singh. When one listens to this song, they may not feel much but when they see the video of it and get a bit of background, then you start feeling goosebumps. A song which energises the entire Indian Cricket team after two dejecting losses in the 1983 WC and the subsequent triumph against all odds.  ❤️   Wishing everyone a productive day ahead. Bye!  πŸ‘‹

Good Morning Folks!  πŸŒ„ Another busy day. It's getting tight, isn't it? Date: 22nd October 2024 Targets:  🎯 JIGL : Civil Procedure Code (Full) and Criminal Procedure Code - I (Revision) ECIPL : FCRA (Full) CMSL : SEBI Takeover Code (Full) and SEBI Act - I (Revision) Today's song is Yeh Jo Des Hai Tera by AR Rahman from the movie 'Swades'. A beautiful song which invokes a connect to our roots and creates a sense of longing for our homeland. This song, at least for me, is a reminder that we won the T20 World Cup this year. I remember seeing a few edits of Surya Kumar Yadav's catch with this song. An intricately created masterpiece by the legend himself, A.R. Rahman.  ❤️ Wishing everyone a great day. Bye! πŸ‘‹

day 34

Good Morning Folks! πŸŒ„ After a pretty ordinary Sunday all thanks to the India V New Zealand test match ending the way it ended, it's time to crank things up a bit. Date: 21st October 2024 Targets:  🎯 JIGL : Civil Procedure Code (8 Lectures) ECIPL : FCRA (1 Lecture) CLP : Charges (Revision) Today's song is Saiyyan by Kailash Kher. A song which portrays the longing, pain and ecstasy experienced in a divine relationship. This song can be interpreted in both, a romantical as well as a spiritual sense.  ❤️   Have a great day. Bye!  πŸ‘‹

cranking up the big brother energy⚡πŸ’ͺ

Image
On a normal day which are most days, I'm generally strict and hard taskmaster. I come across as someone who likes to keep things moving and not remain static. But one a few days, by few I mean extremely few, I tend to shed that layer and keep a complete 180 nature. The only reason why I'm telling this and in fact publishing this blog is because today was one of such days. For a more relatable nature of mine, you can imagine a 'khadoos' Maths teacher. πŸ₯ΈπŸ˜  Today I was a complete 180 of my normal self. Tuning up the big brother energy a couple of times to support my younger brother and a junior of mine from school. The reason why my brother needed me was because guy scored average marks in Maths and was feeling pretty bad about it. I had a good talk with him but still didn't see things improving. So, I had to do something else. I just put my arm around his shoulder and took the little guy for a walk. And maybe as a thank you gesture, little guy said thank you. That de...

Good Morning Folks!  πŸŒ„ Well, starting off with cricket. Exceptional day for Pakistan cricket yesterday. After being down 1-0 against England, coming back to win it comfortably was remarkable especially given the fact that Pakistan's last test victory at home dated back to February 2021. Congrats to them! India on the other hand, had a good day as well after a horror first day. The first session was a missed opportunity in my opinion. To let NZ score 402 after having them down 233-7 was an overstretch. But the batting later was great. All the 3 wickets India lost could have been avoided especially Jaiswal's wicket. Virat's wicket off the last ball just put the Kiwis in the driver's spot but today's first session is key. Whoever wins the first session might very well go on to win the match.   Date: 19th October 2024 Targets:  🎯 JIGL : Sources of Law (4 Lectures) ECIPL : FCRA (1 Lecture) CMSL : SEBI ICDR Regulations (5 Lectures) FM : Operational Approach to Financial...

Good Morning Folks! πŸŒ„ After a tough start yesterday owing to a few works that I had been allotted, it's time to get into the groove. On another note, I was completely distraught yesterday seeing the Indian Cricket Team getting skittled for a paltry 46, the lowest at home, as a result of some immaculate bowling by the Kiwis. The pitch and the weather played a huge role too, but I feel the shot selection from few of the players was questionable 🫠 . Well, since the Kiwis have got a huge 134 run lead with 7 more wickets things look bleak for India. Bowling them out early on Day 3 and playing sensibly to get narrow down the lead should be the approach. Anyways, it is a nice test before the big Australian tour. Pakistan too did well yesterday with their bowling especially Sajid Khan. A great test going on in Multan with England needing 261 to win with 8 wickets in hand on what I would call a 9th day pitch which is turning square. Date: 18th October 2024 Targets: 🎯 JIGL : Sources of La...

Good Morning Readers!  πŸŒ„ With newfound energy and passion, it feels like a massive change is about to come in terms of my academics. I'll be keeping tougher targets from today in order to get things completed before time even if it means that my mental and physical health goes for a toss. Date: 17th October 2024 Targets:  🎯 JIGL : Sources of Law (4 Lectures) CMSL : SEBI Takeover Code (3 Lectures) ECIPL : FCRA (3 Lectures) CLP : General Meetings (Complete Revision) Today's song is Mockingbird by Eminem. A song which has a hold on a generation of people. And with Hailee getting married recently this song becomes a bit more special to understand how old this song is. For whatever reason, I find this song motivating enough for me to get things done quickly.  ❤️ Wishing everyone a great day. Bye! πŸ‘‹

shuffling things up a bit πŸ“

Image
It's been an eventful 30 days since the start of the challenge that I've given to myself. Over the course of this challenge, I have had a few ups πŸ“ˆ and a few downs  πŸ“‰  but notably there haven't been any major changes. The reason why I started this challenge was to bring about a major change in my study schedule and help me increase focus.  I've at numerous occasions found myself deviating from my ultimate goal and wandering into unwanted territories which have led to me questioning my methodology 🫠. I've noted that I've been getting extremely high dopamine through sources other than academics namely YouTube Shorts, YouTube , Reddit , Spotify and LinkedIn . This would not have been a problem if the dopamine levels soared as a result of productive activities but unfortunately that hasn't been the case. Now I stand at a very crucial juncture in my December 2024 attempt. A point from which things can go only one way. Either up or down. Having already skipped...

Good Morning Readers! πŸŒ„ It's officially a month since I started this challenge. Feels great to be standing at this juncture. Hopefully I can continue with this and gain some much-needed momentum as I approach the business end of the challenge. 🀞 Date: 16th October 2024 Targets:  🎯 JIGL : Civil Procedure Code (4 Lectures) CMSL : SEBI Takeover Code (3 Lectures) ECIPL : Overseas Direct Investment (1 Lecture) FM : Operational Approach to Financial Decision (3 Lectures) Today's song is Come See the Wonder by Cavendish Music. To the common world, this song may not mean much but ask any Cricket-Holic and they'll treat this song like the best song in the world. The intro music to India's Test tour to England and Australia for the last 2 tours. A wonderful song that brings back all the memories of waking up at 4 a.m. to watch the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2018-19 and 2020-21 and the Pataudi Trophy in 2018 and 2021. The bouncy pitches of Australia and grass laden ones of Engl...

Good Morning Readers!  πŸŒ„ After a poor start yesterday post the break, I'd love turn things around today. I can't afford to lose many days to rests and breaks. Hoping to get things underway and complete a few targets today. 🀞 Date: 15th October 2024 Targets:  🎯 JIGL : Sources of Law (1 Lecture) CLP : Compromise, Arrangements and Amalgamations (1 Lecture) FM : Operational Approach to Financial Decision (3 Lectures) CMSL : SEBI ICDR Regulations (2 Lectures) and Basics of Capital Market (Revision) DT : PGBP (1 Lecture)  Today's song is Sawaar Loon by Monali Thakur from the movie 'Lootera'.  A beautiful song about love and love stories. Good Morning Folks! πŸŒ„ After a 3-day break, I'm back. I feel it is important to start and get some momentum now before starting the big marathons. My goal now is to complete the syllabus by the end of this month and also complete the revision of all the law papers and get some writing practice. Date: 14th October 2024 Targets: 🎯 CLP : Compromise, Arrangements and Amalgamations (1 Lecture) and Auditors and Accounts Complete Revision JIGL : Civil Procedure Code (3 Lectures) CMSL : SEBI ICDR Regulations (3 Lectures) ECIPL: Designs Act Complete Revision Today's song is Choo Lo by The Local Train. I'm pretty sure I don't need to write much about this song. 19th Nov 2023.  The date, the song. Haad been playing this song on a loop for almost a month post the World Cup final. To all lovers who can feel the real essence of this song, stay strong brothers! ❤️‍🩹 "Khadaa hoon aaj bhi wahin...." πŸ’” Have a wonderful day ahead. Bye! πŸ‘‹

let's go!!!

Heyyy! Finally, after a break of 3 days, I'll be restarting tomorrow. It's been a good and much required break after a continuous 25+ days' hustle and bustle. It has been a refreshing 3-day period with not much to think about academics. My targets for the immediate foreseeable future will be complete the remaining chapters and in the meanwhile continue with my revision. My goal for now is to completely revise CLP, SBILL, CMSL and ECIPL by the end of this month. Also, I'll be starting my writing practice from the 15th. See you tomorrow. Bye! πŸ‘‹

Good Morning Folks!  πŸŒ„ Last day before a two-day break. Looking to keep things simple and easy today. Date: 10th October 2024 Targets:  🎯 CLP: Compromise, Arrangements and Amalgamations (1 Lecture) FM: Operational Approach to Financial Decision (3 Lectures) and Dividend Decision (Revision) SBILL: Selection of Business Organization (Revision) DT: Rebate and Surcharge (Revision) Today's song is Ambwa by Muslim Shaggan. A song I heard a few months back and fell in love with instantly. I discovered this song through Shaggan's 'Saagar Roye' reel which went viral. Beautiful, meaningful song which has been consistently on the rise on my Spotify charts. ❤️ Have a great day. Bye!  πŸ‘‹

Good Morning Readers! πŸŒ„ Date: 9th October 2024 Targets:  🎯 JIGL: Sources of Law (1 Lecture) and Law of Torts (Revision) ECIPL: Overseas Direct Investment (1 Lecture) and Geographical Indication of Goods Act (Revision) DT: Capital Gains (3 Lectures) IDT: Customs Law (1 Lecture) and Basics of GST (Revision) Today' song is Kabira from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Perhaps the most loved song of the 2000s gen with a touch of breakup and sadness. Sung by the great Rekha Bharadwaj. A beautiful song encompassing the ups and downs of true friendships πŸ’”.  A song I've heard for the last 11 years. Have a great day. Bye! πŸ‘‹

day 25

Good Morning Readers! πŸŒ„ I'm back after a quick one day break only to head into another one a couple of days later. Tiring day yesterday but that shouldn't affect me today hopefully. Time to tick a few big boxes before I start acting like a cat on a hot tin roof.  🎯 Date: 8th October 2024 Targets: JIGL: Administrative Law (3 Lectures) CLP: Compromise, Arrangements and Amalgamations (1 Lecture) CMSL: SEBI ICDR Regulations (3 Lectures) DT: Capital Gains Lectures 7 and 8 IDT: GST Revision (2 Lectures) Today's song is Bhaag Milkha Bhaag - Rock Version from the film 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag'. This one belongs to the list of rare songs which can motivate me at any time irrespective of my mood. Sung by Siddharth Mahadevan and directed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. ❤️ Wishing everyone a great day. Bye! πŸ‘‹

day 24

Good Morning Folks! πŸŒ„ No real targets today as I said earlier. Gonna be busy today with non-academic activities mainly festivities. :) Date: 7th October 2024 Today's song is Matkar Maya Ko Ahankar by Kabir Cafe. This song to me is a rare gem that gives one a slice of life and death both at the same time. Maybe this is because of those YouTube shorts on this song which have been associated with life and death rather than life or death. A beautiful song which highlights the need to stay grounded even when you're flying high. That perhaps is what makes this song leave a long-lasting impression on its listeners.  ❤️ Have a great day. Bye!  πŸ‘‹

day 23

Good Morning Folks! πŸŒ„ Date: 6th October 2024 Targets: DT: Revision (3 Lectures) and Capital Gains (3 Lectures) CMSL: SEBI ICDR Regulations (2 Lectures) FM: Operational Approach to Financial Decision (3 Lectures) Today's song is Dhaaga from the series Aspirants: S1 sung by Nilotpal Bora and Hussain Haidry. day 22

Good Morning Folks! πŸŒ„ An important Saturday from my point of view. I've decided to keep some heavy tasks to complete all chapters that I've already started. As part of Navaratri, I won't be able to study on 7th and the period from 10th October evening to 13th October morning. I'll also be dedicating the period between 7th and 10th to complete smaller chapters. 😊 Date: 5th October 2024 Targets:  JIGL: Civil Procedure Code (4 Lectures) CMSL: Takeover Code (3 Lectures) FM: Operational Approach to Financial Decision (3 Lectures) Today's song is Jeete Hain Chal from the movie 'Neerja'. This song is sung by Kavita Seth. Again, one of those songs that I discovered recently.  Have a great day. Bye! πŸ‘‹

It is Zindagi Jab Bhi from the film 'Umrao Jaan'. I found this song recently and have been listening to it since. What the readers must note is that songs from today won't be in any particular order. I would just put a song which I like to listen to. What I mean is that these songs don't indicate any order or preference.  😊 Hope you have a great day. Bye! πŸ‘‹

From today, I'll be sharing a song daily along with my target and it would be great if my readers could reciprocate the same. Why am I doing this? Simply! Today's song is Aise Kyun Ghazal Version from the series Mismatched: S2. This is perhaps my most favorite song. It has topped my Spotify charts for the last 2 years. Wishing everyone a great day. Bye! πŸ‘‹

beating the law of marginal utility!! πŸ˜€πŸ’ͺ

Image
"Marginal Utility is defined as the utility obtained by the consumption of an additional unit of a commodity" As someone who learnt this is 11th Grade, I never really understood this concept. The primary reason for this could have been the fact that I was experiencing something that was in stark contrast of what this concept stood for. I know Marginal Utility applies only to commodities and not human emotions but I am using this reference just to highlight the magnitude of my experience. I'm sorry to all the economics freaks out there. I truly apologise for this. πŸ™‡‍♂️ Okayyy, I'm starting this!!! Thanks for showing patience and in case you haven't read the above part and skipped directly to this, I'm wasting a bit of your time. No apologies for that 😜 I did not enjoy the school at which I spent 8 yearsπŸ₯². I know this is a major part of my schooling life and has shaped me into who I'm today, but I haven't had any memorable experiences at that place. S...
